Martha Mukaminega

Martha Mukaminega, MD, MMed (ped), MSc in Disease Control; is a Pediatrician with over 20 years’ experience and Public Health Specialist. She obtained her medical degrees from the University of Rwanda and her public health degree from the Institute of Tropical Medicine of Antwerp in Belgium. 

For the last seventeen years, Dr. Mukaminega has worked with the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation (EGPAF), a US based international NGO serving in a variety of roles including the Technical Director for Rwanda Program, Senior Regional Advisor for Pediatric and adolescent in Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire (CDI), Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Swaziland, Tanzania and Uganda.

She is currently the Global Associate Director for Pediatric & Adolescent Services, providing strategic leadership and clinical technical assistance in improving pediatric & adolescent health services including HIV and TB across EGPAF. She is experienced in execution of clinical programs; and implementation research, monitoring and evaluation including HIV and TB.

She serves on a number of national, regional and global technical working groups related to Pediatric & Adolescent HIV.
