Taib Abdulrahman Basheeib

Taib Abdulrahman Basheeib is a dedicated public health professional with a strong background in scientific research and community health interventions. He holds extensive experience in harm reduction, advocacy and public health program implementation, with a focus on addressing the health and social challenges faced by people who use drugs.

Currently serving as the Executive Director of Reachout Centre Trust (RCT), Taib leads strategic initiatives aimed at promoting harm reduction, HIV/AIDS prevention, and access to healthcare services for marginalized populations. Under his leadership, RCT has expanded its impact through evidence-based interventions, advocacy, and community-driven approaches to public health.

Taib has undertaken extensive studies in leadership at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, equipping him with the skills to drive organizational growth, policy influence, and effective management in the public health sector.

With a deep commitment to harm reduction, he actively engages in policy discussions, research, and program development that enhance public health responses to drug use, infectious diseases, and social inequalities. His expertise extends to capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, and collaboration with international health organizations. Through his leadership, Reachout Centre Trust continues to be at the forefront of harm reduction efforts in Kenya, shaping policies and programs that improve health outcomes for at-risk populations.
